Title: My Server isn't working
Post by: Timmy_Yak on July 14, 2003, 07:46:14 pm
Others have tried using my Media Server and to their dismay it won't work.  They will get a message saying my url doesn't work.  I use a DNS Updater cause I have a router.  I then checked the status and it says that it cannot find my library's zip file.  HELP!!

Check your library settings in Media Server.

What should I look for?  The only thing I changed is the name of my library, but then I changed it back.

Start media center, verify that the correct library is loaded and working (that you can play songs). Then start Media Server, and verify that you have chosen the same library.

I did do that and it still doesn't work.  Is there anything else it can be?

Can you connect to it from the same machine?

Copy-n-paste the status messages here.

Ok when someone tries to connect I get this message in my server window:

07/15/03 22:15:45 - could not open <C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\MJ Server Library.zip>
07/15/03 22:15:45 - sending 404
07/15/03 22:15:45 - sharing thread exiting

and this is what someone gets when they try to connect:

Well I figured it out.  All I had to do was go into settings>options>library and then just pick the default again.
