Title: It seems that JRiver MC doesn't support Unicable
Post by: siggivalur on March 31, 2017, 11:34:48 am
I've been searching for some info on a specific topic I find no traces of.

I'm trying to put up satellite reception via quad-tuner PCI card. It seems that JRiver MC doesn't support Unicable, which is a well established standard in Satellite equipment, at least in Europe.

We support DVB-S satellite tuners.  Is Unicable a DVB-S tuner?

We support DVB-S satellite tuners.  Is Unicable a DVB-S tuner?

Unicable is a standard for Satellite delivery of broadcast programming to multiple users over a single coaxial cable. Here's a description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_cable_distribution

I've got a 6904 Quad Satellite HD PCIe TV Tuner Card DVB-S2. I've not been able to get JRiver MC to support Unicable with it. Perhaps MC 23 might?
