Title: adding a new library
Post by: pcibavicius on April 06, 2017, 12:51:33 am
Hello, so I have one library (file full of music) on an external hard drive, and that works fine.  I have a different file full of music on another hard drive, and I do not want to combine the two files into one, so I am trying to add a new library.  However, after clicking "add new library", giving it a name, and then clicking on "local library", and browsing my way to the 2nd drive containing the music for this new library, I get the following message:

Cannot create a new library at the specified location.  The directory must be empty.

And thats as far as I get, I cannot create this new library.  Please help.  Thanks!

The function you're trying to use just creates JRiver's database files.  The location must be empty and should probably be on your primary drive.

After that, set up auto import to point at the location of the files you want imported.  The wiki topic called Getting Started should help.
