Title: VIEW > USER - Why is MC always starting up in Admin USER - SOLVED
Post by: tzr916 on April 13, 2017, 11:26:20 am
Don't know exactly when this happened, but it just recently started. I've tried v97 and v95, they both have the same problem. Confirmed on Server and several clients machines.

Previous behavior - starting or restarting MC would ALWAYS start up in a NON-Admin USER.

New behavior - starting or restarting MC is now ALWAYS starting in the Administrator USER.

PLEASE HELP! Need to get back the old behavior, so that MC always starts up in a NON-Admin USER.

If you run a different version of MC than the version that was run the last time, it asks for admin rights (so it can make registry settings). So you need to check that you do not also have say MC v21 or earlier on your machine. Especially make sure that the earlier version is not set to auto start on Windows start.

Do you mean Windows administrator, or the MC user, "Administrator", found under "View > User"?

Rebooted MC Server Machine. All is back to normal.
