Title: 30 day trial over before I got started?
Post by: volvodr on July 13, 2003, 04:04:20 pm
I just downloaded MC 9 from the website and would like to try before I buy.  Have heard a lot of good things about it from the iPod board I use.  Problem is that I just downloaded from the website and installed, but as soon as it finishes the install, the first time it goes to bring up the program it says that my 30 day trial has already expired!  I haven't even used the program once and just downloaded and installed it 5 minutes ago!  What's up!  I would be more than willing to pay for the program but I refuse to unless I can at least try it first and see if it works properly with XP and my iPod.  Please help......getting ready to nix MC 9 for another program........

the only reason this happens is

1. you have tried MC9 before
2. your clock\date is not set correctly

regardless of what one it is j river will not tell you how to get around this.

so sorry your leaving but it is way better than MJ8

besides you have all my nice plugins with MC9 that does not work on MJ8.

Coverart Finder, Lyrics Finder, Chart Finder, Chart Graber, Bios Finder, Lyrics And Bios Editor, Party Sampler... did i forget any?

and my new version of lyrics finder (still working on it) that gets lyrics directly from a Lyrics server.

I just checked and my clock and date are set correctly and I've never tried MC 9 before....

Can't understand why it tells me my trial version has expired and I just downloaded it from the website a few minutes ago.  I've also never had MC 8 or any other version before.  How are they supposed to expect me to pay $40 for a program with a trial version that never lets me try it!  I'm not trying to trick or fool anyone, just want a trial version.....if I liked the program, would probably buy it next day anyway, does the tech support here really suck that bad!
