I have chosen Flac as my file type when I'm ripping a CD what shows up as CDA I don't understand why it doesn't say Flac I am a newbie I just started if someone can point me to a discussion or some answers I greatly appreciate it I don't want to keep ripping my CDs if it's not in the right format thank you

.cda is nothing more than the file "type" used on a commercial cd....this is so all cd players will read and play the music in your car or home cd player, across town and across the pond!

In MC it will show as FLAC, WAV, MP3, etc. if you are displaying the correct Tag.
Are you referring to a view in Windows File Explorer?
