Title: HDR passthrough - any luck?
Post by: ppataki on May 05, 2017, 07:27:01 am
Could anybody manage to passthrough HDR signal via HDMI in JRiver please?
I am trying but no luck up till now

I have updated Windows 10 to the latest version with the Creator's Update so now it supports HDR natively, I have installed the latest AMD driver (17.5.1, card is RX480), I have the latest madVR (0.91.9) with JRiver and the latest JRiver (22.0.105)
I have configured madVR to passthrough HDR, to use exclusive full screen mode and to use D3D11, I have enabled 10 bit and BT2020 as well

Then when I start an HDR movie the TV won't recognize the signal as HDR - the TV is configured properly: if I switch Windows to HDR the TV does recognize the signal as HDR
Any ideas?
Thank you

Sorry I can't help but where are you getting HDR content that plays on a PC from? I just use my TV's built in apps or UHD BR.
