Title: Removing extra audio tracks for an AVI
Post by: ssands on May 12, 2017, 11:56:16 pm
Hi,
I have an avi with 4 audio streams but I only want the English one. Does MC have the ability for me to select and delete the audio tracks I do not want?
I've heard avidemux can do it, but if I can stay in MC, I'll do that.
I can select the English stream when I am watching on the MC Player, but when I send it to our TV (via a Blu-Ray player), I do not see how to select the preferred audio track, hence the question).

It seems you do not have MKV ToolNix installed.
Homepage https://mkvtoolnix.download/ (https://mkvtoolnix.download/)
Download  https://www.fosshub.com/MKVToolNix.html (https://www.fosshub.com/MKVToolNix.html)

You can drag and drop an avi file on the MKV ToolNix window and then
either select which tracks you want to keep in the output,
or shift the English tracks at the end,
or select your desired track and set the default track flag on it (on the right side).

I had not heard of MKV Toolnix. But it worked great!
Thanks so much. Solved my issue just as you said.
