Something about the internals of the [Bitrate] function has changed since MC20.
When playing a typical HLS URL e.g.
http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/uk/sbr_high/ak/bbc_radio_three.m3u8 (http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/uk/sbr_high/ak/bbc_radio_three.m3u8)
[Bitrate] USED to return something along the lines of "322" which is entirely what I would expect, given that this is, nominally, a 320kb/s stream.
On a modern version of MC, the string returned is blank.
I must stress that this expression works entirely as I would expect when playing local files. Likewise, it does what I would expect when playing normal AAC or MP3 streams. But the URL above is an HLS wrapper and [Bitrate] works as expected on MC20 but does not work on a modern version of MC.
Perhaps I am not keeping up (I am a mere user of MC, not an aficionado of the changing subtleties of its expression language).
Perhaps I have stumbled across a bug.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, as the song goes.
Advice, please.
