Title: Will MC23 support USB Audio 2.0 spec [Solved]
Post by: Axilian on June 02, 2017, 09:50:25 am
I've just got MC22 on a MC23 license and am a bit disappointed that it seems that it has to convert 192Khz file to 96Khz to output via an USB output via WASAPI

Outputting at 192KHz is definitely now possible with the Creator's Update of Windows 10 which made the USB Audio 2.0 spec part of the system (I can do it with Foobar2000).

I would like to know if MC23 will support  playing via USB at 192KHz via WASAPI or failing that is there a way I can use foobar2000 as the default player rather than the one built in to MC (I only use MC for audio.)

MC doesn't need to support anything, any previous version of MC will automatically work. Its all Windows doing. As long as Windows exposes a device with all the sample rates, then it'll work in MC.

Found the problem - somehow the dsp was resampling everything to 96KHz
