Title: Using and handling 'Stack(ing)' within Theater View - advice needed.
Post by: Mans on June 19, 2017, 08:23:56 am
Sunny day to all,

It seems i'm not able to find a way to use 'stacked' DVDs/films when in Theater View.
I've got several DVD's stacked because these come as muliple discs (or box).
Works perfect in standard view - can be handled.
But within Theater View only the 'top' volume is available - clickable.
Theater View is used most of the time at our place.

If somebody could shine me a light onto this 'procedure', would be great.
Or any alternative how to handle multiple DVD's/discs.

PS for CD/albums i've found how to add the disc# as tag, shows then perfect as one album - but still recignise all discs.

Thanks gents.

Using the series tag together with an additional expression in TheaterView' options instead of stacking and works perfectly.

So i did found a solution to this topic :-)

Think of stacking as a way to combine multiple versions of the same thing in to one item. Examples I use it for:

Use tagging (as you have discovered) to keep track of separate items that you want to group together logically for display or playback.

Thanks for your explanation BartMan.

Ha, now I've got also a solution to these 'doubled' music albums which i've got  :D
Both Flac and DSD.

Till now i've got those subside as i've added 'DSD' to it's name.
Stacking of those makes more sense.

Thanks.
