Title: Can't do in-line conversion when download from CD
Post by: tony_wk on July 07, 2003, 02:52:19 am
the MC I used is 9.1.210

It works fine if I choose inline conversion from mp3 to wma when I try to download the songs residing in my hard disk to my NOMAD II mp3 player.

But if I choose the songs from the CD-ROM and try to let MC do the inline conversion job, there is quick disappearing window( So quick, i can't see any message in it) and the download window appears starting to download the .mp3, not the converted .wma.  I suspect it is because there is no write permission of the CD-ROM which cause the inline conversion to fail.

doesn't MC use the temp path designated in the option menu to store the temp conversion files?

You have to rip (copy) the tracks from the CD first, then transfer to the Nomad.

sorry, make it more clear. it is not the sound track CD-ROM. it is the data CD with all the .mp3 files in it.

Tony,

This should be fixed in the next build of MC.

Thanks,

Steve
