I think I found a bug. After updating to the version of the id, I'm no longer able to play sacd/dsd via DLNA to my renderers (which don't do dsd). This has never been a problem before and I changed no settings (and checked them).
-
Because your renderers don't do DSD, were you converting the output format on the server side under the DLNA server settings, or on the renderer side in DSP Studio?

The Id was doing the converting

Try converting on the server.

That's where I have been doing it. It's not working anymore
-
Does anyone else have this problem? I'm not checking off the dop box under dlna - everything is as it was before the update - just no sound (other than hiss) with dsd.
-
Can someone please help?
-
Are you using a NUC Id or an Id Pi? What DLNA Server settings are you using?
-
I'm using a NUC ID and the settings are as follows:
Audio
Mode: Specified output format
Format: PCM 24 Bit
No DSP
Advanced: DLNA and DLNAExtra
No other settings checked. This setup always worked converting sacd to 24/176.4.

I can play SACD file via DLNA from my NUC Id here, so I need some more details. What renderers are you trying to play to? Is it just SACD/DSD that don't work or can't you play any files via DLNA? Do you know which Media Center version you were using before the update? Can you describe your audio setup?
-
I'm using another Id Nuc and also a PI with moode's latest software.
The older Id software on the server NUC was the last version before the update that includes MC22. The Id Nuc renderer is feeding a 24/192 capable dac and the moode pi uses a hifiberry dac+ pro.
-
Is it just SACD/DSD that don't work or is it any audio file type?
-
Everything else is fine
-
Okay, just so I can be sure, which version of Media Center is the server Id running now, and which version is the renderer?
-
Sounds like you were running MC20 before and when you moved to MC22 it stopped working?
Have you tried power-cycling the renderer? They can get stuck in weird places.
Is the SACD 2 channel or multichannel?
What is your DAC?
-
that's correct, the previous Id build is what i was on (w mc20). the renderer ID is a Ps Audio PWD and the renderer Pi uses the hifiberry dac+ pro.
i've rebooted, reinstalled and done whatever i could to solve the problem...i'm baffled

Ok, that helps.
Now just so that we can completely understand the situation you have:
1) A NUC Id MC22 (with the SACD files in local storage on the Id).
2) A RPi as a renderer with the integrated hifiberry dac+ pro
3) A NUC Id MC?? renderer with a USB attached Ps Audio PWD DAC.
You cannot get 1 to play SACD to 2 or 3, correct?
If this isn't correct please let us know. We can setup a 1->2 test here when we have all of the fine details of your configuration.
Thanks.
