Title: Manage Library Fields: Mood - Help Please
Post by: MusicBringer on June 26, 2017, 03:30:43 am
Hello folks,

I use the Mood field a lot.

I specify the following User Data:
Data Type List (semicolon delimited)
Not Relational
Edit Type List

These settings fail to hold.
They stay there for a while, then for some unknown reason they revert back to:

User Data
Data Type String
Not Relational
Edit Type Standard

Please tell me how to make MC do what I want and retain the User Date Settings I have specified.
thanks,
 :)

Are you making the change on a client MC? I've noticed if I don't make changes on the host MC they don't stick.

I've been considering make the same edits to mood. I'll give it a go.

I wonder if there's some issue as a legacy/default field.

You've spotted that Mood is a Legacy: Musicmatch mood classification of a song.
So I suppose that means that MC has no control over it and the outcome is I cannot specify what I want the Mood field to look like and do.
Ho Hum

what would prevent you from making a custom mood2 field?
