Title: How to mass update thumbnails ?
Post by: lboregard on June 29, 2017, 01:40:41 pm
After upgrading to MC23, is there a command, menu option or anything similar that I can run to refresh all the thumbnails ?

(sorry if this has been brought up before)

I think that only builds missing ones off the top of my head.
(There *might* be a delete all option in there, but I'm not certain on that one...)

You'd probably have to delete the thumbnail cache from Appdata before running the rebuild.

Thanks !

I'm running the command now.

Isn't it possible to use the cache from the previous version ?

You can copy & paste the appdata thumbnails folder between versions.

This is unsupported, & I wouldn't do it unless between a late build of 22 & 23, but it usually works OK.

YMMV though.
