Title: Audio play scrolls through tracks rather than playing them
Post by: novice2 on July 09, 2017, 07:41:00 am
Using MC 22. Using Audio, when initiating play of a track it seems to start play but it is silent and after a couple of seconds it jumps to the next track (or shuffles to a track if shuffle is on). For starters what is the setting that is forcing it to move to the next track to play? Second, why is it silent...? Might the silence go away if the jumping is resolved?

Thanks....

It indicates that JRiver isn't set up to recognise the file or its not compatible with the player, so if you clicked the first file of an album, it tries and aborts and moves to the next and continues to the end of the album which it sees as a playlist.

You need to investigate the file type and format and the renderer you are playing it to.

isn't there a setting that plays tracks briefly then moves on to the next? something like a preview mode?

@ ~OM~ :  Yes.  Player > Preview Mode > (select mode here)

That seems to only persist until you press Stop though.  Interesting feature that I've never used.  Until just now to test it.  :)
