I have been using Klipsch pro media 4.1 and have been thinking of going to the pro media 5.1 or logitech z-680 is there much of a dif or am i wasting my money the 4.1 sound great

For music, that extra one speaker isn't going to be worth the $200+ upgrade. Especially if you already like the 4.1 set you have.
I'd put that money towards some good headphones or some other stereo or computer goodie you want.
Just my 2 cents...

I have a Logitech z-680 and they sound great...I can't compare it to a Klipsch pro media 4.1 since I never owned one or tested one in a store.
But Matt is right...there is no point in spending money on an upgrade if your happy with what you have. Spend it on some new CD and send them to ME ;D

Thanks guys for the" sound " addvice. I'am one of those guy's that is alway's trying to spend money when i don't have to. I just love the way the Klipsch sound so i just needed somebody to help me think the cd idea sound's good to me. listening to Santana rightnow on my Klipsch pro media 4.1 s using mc9 and it sounds great

Yeah, 5.1 surround for a computer is generally a waste, unless you watch a lot of DVDs and have room to spread the speakers out. (IMHO anyway.)

I'm too poor to know firsthand, but from what I read, a Dolby 5.1 setup sounds absolutely fantastic, provided (of course) the sound card supports it.
But I agree with the headphones suggestion. I'll even take it a step further. :P

(The actual price right now is $279. I paid $299 for these a year ago.)
