Title: How to fresh media library entries when files no longer exist
Post by: chrisc on July 19, 2017, 03:20:50 pm
I recently copied a collection of music from another harddisc.  I then performed an import, to find 65 albums have duplicate track numbers as the same album appears in two separate folders

The duplicate files have been deleted from the hard disc

What is the procedure to remove the library entries for the files that no longer exist?

Thank you

Probably the most straight forward way is to use the built in smartlist for missing files:

Playlists > Smartlists > Audio - Task - Missing Files

You might want to filter that list by drive letter or something.  But that will definitely show you all of the files that MC has in it's library that no longer exist on disk.
