Title: Can you play a slideshow to ID - updated
Post by: thane108 on July 20, 2017, 01:23:03 pm
I'm controlling the ID from my desktop and would like to put a photo slideshow on the TV via ID.

I can do a slideshow at the ID using a mouse attached to the ID.

Can I do the same thing from my desktop?  I can do audio playlists from the desktop - but haven't figured out how from the desktop to do the slideshow on the ID.

Is that possible?  If so, helpful hints appreciated.

It doesn't look like you can play a slideshow to the Id by pushing the images to the Id as a zone. You do have some other options, though. One option is to have the Id Load the Library Server with the images. Then, you can control the Id from the desktop (or any device connected to the internet) through Panel. Just open a browser and enter the Id's internal IP address followed by ":52199"

So, it will be something like: 192.168.0.20:52199

You'll see the different buttons, but for a slideshow you'll want to use Images. Also, make sure that it's playing to "Player." It will display where it's playing to at the top of the page. You can enable shuffle and repeat, but you'll probably need to do that directly on the Id.
