Title: Restart current item
Post by: MRjr on July 20, 2017, 01:30:52 pm
I thought I had posted this earlier but it doesn't show up. If I am repeating myself I apologize.

While viewing the playlist and a song is playing, is there a way to restart the current song? I can do a "previous track" followed by a "next track" manually but that is a terrible kludge.

There doesn't seem to be a way to easily combine two functions into a single key map.

Not a single key but equally easy. I have "Stop" bound to Ctrl-S and "Play/Pause" bound to Ctrl-P.
To restart the current item, simply hold down the Ctrl Key and press S then P.

While a song is playing just pressing Previous Track restarts that track for me.  If it's been less than a couple of seconds (2 or 3 maybe) pressing Previous Track skips backwards to the track before the currently playing track.  But, if it's been at least 4 or 5 seconds of play time in the current track, pressing Previous Track definitely just restarts the current track.

There's an option that you might have set differently than I do:

Tools > Options > General > Behavior > Previous Button

I have it set to "CD Player Style".

Good luck.

Brian.
