Title: internet connection down, can't use iOS apps
Post by: MR on July 23, 2017, 08:56:11 am
My internet connection has been down for more than a week. Although the LAN is fine, my iOS apps refuse to connect. When I check connection 'to this server' using the Windows UI, I am informed I can't use the media server because there is no Internet connectivity!

The iOS apps try to connect by key and time out. I don't expect this behavior just because of an extended service interruption (Windstream).

Normally JRemote looks up the key to get the IP address via internet, look in the wiki there is a way of defining a direct iPad address

I had to do it, and it works but I can't just recall how ... age !!

Just substitute the IP address for the Access Key.
