Post by: This2ShallPass on July 29, 2017, 12:55:06 pm
Had to change the file location of my audio files on my NAS. How do I update the playlists please?

there may be a better way..... but what I have done is.. export the playlists (I use M3U format)... then open the file(s) in notepad and search and replace with the new path.  Last step is to import the new M3U files.

It sounds like maybe you let MC re-import your entire library after you moved it.

A (potentially) better way to do it is this:  Move the actual files to their new location.  Then use MC's Rename, Move, and Copy files tool to update the location in MC's database.  You would select all files, then use the UPDATE function of RM&C and the Find & Replace template to replace the old location with the new one.  For example, you might replace Z:\Music with Q:\Media\music .

The RM&C tool has good documentation in the wiki.
