Title: How to Simplify Theatre View?
Post by: MGS61 on August 08, 2017, 03:32:53 am
Hi All.

I am a new user and still trying to get my head round JRiver and the Forum and need a bit of help,

I have installed JRiver on my elderly Fathers laptop and he has it connected to his TV via HDMI and to his Cambridge Audio 24 bit DAC via USB.
I have set JRiver to start in Theatre mode as he needs the large clear display as his eye sight is not that good.
I am trying to simplify Theatre View as much as possible, so have gone into settings and set it to Audio Only, and set the skin to the one that looks as easy to use as possible.

In a nut shell my question is this:-
Is there a way in Theatre View of adding Large conventional CD Player like buttons Permanently on the screen i.e. PLAY / PAUSE / STOP / F.FWD / RWD, as this would make it much easier for him to use?

Thank's again for any advise guys.

No, but consider using a remote or even a tablet to control MC.  Maybe you have a Media Center Remote lying in a drawer.

A Bluetooth keyboard would also work.  All you need is a device with the four arrow keys and the OK (Enter) key.
