Post by: leperlord on August 11, 2017, 12:55:36 am
Please advise me how to minimize/close the window

to the left in grey in attached pic

I dont know name of that window , so please excuse

 me

The one with playing now/albums/artists etc

Some times i just like it out of the way , until i

need it again

When i hold mouse over edge between those in pic

i use to be able to push that window away and

bring it back in same way

Now when i put mouse over it i get the left - right

 arrows but it wont move

i hope i explained this well enough

Cheers

if i understand correctly what you mean, i asked this also for the tv part of mc
the answer was that it might be something for a "future project": https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,110030.0.html

It's called "The Tree Pane" or "The Tree" or "Navigation Tree" or "The panel on the left"
It has a minimum width. All you need to do when you get those "left - right" arrows, is double click and the tree will close :)

i hope i explained this well enough
You did.

Specifically, you want to double click on the triangle that points to the left.  These are called disclosure triangles.  Here's a little more info:

that level of accuracy is not needed. Just get the "left - right" arrows cursor, and double click.

Single clicks on the little triangles do the job too, but they're a pain to locate and hit, if you can even see them (think fx. Modern Cards skins). Far easier to just get the cursor in the right place anywhere along the splitter and double click, no?

^ You taught me something!

This doesn't work as expected on the splitter bar between playing now's cover art and file list area.  But it works great on the left hand nav splitter.  Cool.

I added a Toggle Tree button to the bottom toolbar - I don't have to double click anymore. ;)

Ctrl + T does it for me (T for Tree... geddit :))

If you have a resource.xml in your custom resources folder, this'll do it for you....
Code: [Select]
<Entry Key="Ctrl;T" Command="22029" Param="-1" TranslateFlags="23" />

Now  i did learn that window to left is called the tree -pane view

For me double clicking that 2 sided arrow takes away pane-tree , ctrl-T brings it back

So thats awesome

Cheers mates

Now everytime i muck about i create another problem

How do i get to (and from ) the 3d cover flow where i can wheel through covers ?

And can i make the art larger there ? i believe the mouse centre button will increase art

size in 3d cover flow , but now i cant find 3d cover flow

The display to browse for me used most often tho is as below(i browse cover art in under playing

now , by artist or album

Can i  i increse the size of the cover art (My eyes are real bad so i need larger art) size when

viewing by album/artist ?

Its real sweet i can CTRL-T now and rid that pane , that slightly makes it easier to see cover art
,but i need to increase more

All resizing does for me is make the border -top-bottom larger or smaller , no effect on cover art

size ,it also mucks with the sising of text in playing now

i have text in playing now set perfect so i dont want to mess with that

i only wish to increase art display

Cheers

That was implemented two months ago.

You could read the release notes.  Check the build threads.

sorry, can't find it. also this functionality is not available on my side (22.0.110) unless i'm doing it wrong. we're probably talking about different things (i'm referring to resizable windows like indicated on the screenshot in my linked thread above)

That would be in MC23.

I believe that change was before the first public release, but the first Public Release Notes for MC23.0.8 included everything back to MC23.0.2, where the change is listed.

23.0.2 (6/9/2017)

33. NEW: The TV Channels box on Standard Television view can be resized.

Also, the Disclosure Triangles have been visible since the change, indicating that the Pane is resizable and can be hidden.

Mind you, the horizontal divider between the function selection pane ("All Programs" through to "Show Status") and the Channel List still isn't resizable, and it would be nice if it was, particularly on the high-resolution monitor I use for my Client.

Im not at home for weekend , but i may be able to get someone to go to my house and logon my desktop and i d be able to remotely try this from here

Cheers mates for all the help
