Title: limit to no. of tracks stored in media library?

subject says it all really.  is there a limit or not?  thanks, nick. :-/ :-/

With a fast computer 100,000+ is reasonable.  If certain things are slow with that many files, they can often be sped up if you let us know.

This is about the time that somebody asks KingSparta how big his library is.

And then somebody will point out that it's not the size of the library that matters, but how you use it.

I had 132,000 mp3's in the library in MJ8 before the database changed i am sure it still works fine.

I currently have 24,000+ and it works fine.

Danger Will Robison don't try that with Real Or MusicMatch

LOL...MusicMatch would take over an hour just for a simple action as sort...IMHO

Yes ,you are right.
I do SuperTag with no more than 2-3 thousand tracks in MM

+55.000 here and MC works fine.
Very very slow during the first import- i mean MM and Real are much much faster...
But was a post about it.
Must be a bug and they may fix it
