Title: error message when using EAC and MA
Post by: nickharambee on July 01, 2003, 08:46:21 am
when i try to use MA encoder within EAC to compress to ape files, i am sometimes getting an error message popping up which states 'unhandled exception at 00459A07 access_violation'.  EAC reports that there were no errors at the end of extraction (it keeps on going to the end), but the files are not saved (i.e. only some tracks get through to my hard disk/media library).  does anyone know what this error message is, and what i need to do differently so that it doesn't keep getting in the way of my nice day.  it could be something to do with extracting files from cdrs rather than cds, but i'm not sure. thanks, nick.

Better try the EAC forums for EAC support.

I'd recommend MC for APE ripping though -- it's secure and always gets the tags right.

thanks matt.  do i need to set up secure ripping in MC9 or is it automatic.  can't seem to find any settings specific to this.

nick.

It's here:

Options -> Device Settings -> Advanced Ripping Settings -> Copy Mode -> Digital Secure
