Title: MC 23 - Changing the Folder Rule Option
Post by: MRjr on September 12, 2017, 05:52:01 pm
I have ripped many albums (ca.200 GB) using the Folder Rule [Genre]\[Artist]\[Album]\.
I find, particularly for classical music that I get a depth that is deeper than necessary.

Is it possible to recast the data in place with the rule [Genre]\[Album] without completely corrupting my data?

Are you asking about moving your files around on disk?  Changing the directory structure?

If so, the Rename, Move, and Copy files tool should do exactly what you want.

You'll want to read some, and do some experimentation.  It's a big powerful tool, so it can look intimidating at first.  It's really fairly easy to use once you get used to it.
