Title: NEW: Full Album Memory Playback
Post by: Matt on September 18, 2017, 11:07:59 am
Hi everyone,

The latest builds of Media Center add the ability to play the entire set of files in Playing Now (up to 30 tracks) from memory.  This removes any disk I/O that happens as the next file starts and is played.

You enable this by selecting:
Load full album (not decoded) into memory

In Options > Audio > Memory playback

We had been promising this for quite a while, and we finally delivered :)

Great feature Matt. But I'm confused, does it also work under DLNA in Media Center? I play to PS Audio DAC with Bridgell.

Memory playback is only possible when MC is doing playback. If you use DLNA, then memory playback makes no sense, since MC doesn't actually do playback.

How can you check that the Album has been loaded into memory?
