Title: MSB UMT V

 As per JRiver i configured audio for Audiophile 24-bit DAC" DLNA server but i get a very funny sound. choosing Generic DNA works well.  i have MacBook , MY Book external hard drive and using Ethernet for my network to control MSB UMT V which connects to MSB Analog DAC with I2S cable.
any suggestions or should i just choose Generic DNA?

The Generic DLNA Server is fine.

Note that generic usually sends audio as MP3, which won't sound as good as PCM.

Thank you blgentry. i noticed that i can only use MP3 high bandwidth and not PCM.
i am disappointed. 
JimH... does the MP3 format in this instance sound as good as PCM ?

You can set the conversion you want (none) for the DLNA Server under Media Network.

please provide more details as i am not too savvy  . e.g which box should i open and tick or choose. Thanks in advance

GOOD NEWS
MSB says my DAC needs recalibration   problem diagnosed :)
