Title: newbie question
Post by: snarfo on June 29, 2003, 06:27:41 pm
Hi all,

One quick question--- is there any way to tell MJ to show a default filename for cover art? For example, I have my mp3 collection sorted in an artist/album/tracks structure. In each album folder there is a 'folder.jpg' file which is the cover art for that particular album. In the other music library (ahem) program I'm currently using it's a snap to set it up to show folder.jpg as the cover when i clock on a album.

I use the same setup for my cover art ...

Thanks for the info. I suppose there isn't any automated way to do this, then? Ihave about 15,000 mp3 files organized into a buttload of album folders and manually assigning the cover images is more than I want to tackle. :-)

well ... you could select multiple at once (never tried 15,000, but ...).

It will look in the folder of the file. So even if you choose files that aren't in the same folder, MC9 will grab the relevant picture.

You may try a small set first (1000 or so). If they work, you could then try larger chunks (2000, 5000, etc ...)
