Title: live video (HTML5) viewing
Post by: Art_bubbles on September 28, 2017, 03:55:53 pm
v23.0.62 64-bit on Win 7/64Pro.

JRiver uses flash instead of HTML5 to play live video from DaCast.com (Video/Connected Media). Can't play ustream.tv at all. Both IE11 and Firefox can play these live video sites using HTML5. IE11 takes some coaxing and a work-around to avoid its temptation to play these streams using flash.

Any hints? And no, for me flash is a really bad idea, just too many security vulnerabilities to want flash running on my desktop. Linux is a viable alternative but I haven't managed to get this version of JRiver installed under CentOS 7. Even numbered versions of Windows are also not an option.
