I have a Linn Majik streamer with MinimServer as the music server running on a QNAP network drive.
Is it possible to use JRiver as a control point, to replace the woeful Linn Kazoo?
Thank you

You might do better ditching Minim entirely and use MC as both the server and the Control Point.
(Nevertheless, it should in theory be possible for MC to load the library from Minim and push play to the Linn.)

Thank you for your reply.
I think it is better that the music server software resides on the QNAP (where the music files are stored), and that a control point is used to 'play' music - that way, anyone with a control point can see what is being played, and can control the system.

There is a Linux version of MC that might run on the QNAP ??
If it did, then you could use any or all of the JRiver ecosystem of Control Point software offerings to control it (windows, mac, android app, iOS app, web front end).

I run minimserver and use MC as a control point to numerous different endpoints. It works quite well with the bonus of theater view for album art.
I use an old 1Ghz amd netbook running win10 and MC. The netbook itself has just an empty (default) J River library. I select minimserver as a server and a endpoint. It works quite well.
I like the tagging in minimserver, the artwork in MC Theater view and the variety of endpoints. Its my poor man's Roon.

AP, that sounds interesting, and probably what I want to do. How do you select MinimServer as the music server and would it then be possible to stream via a Linn streamer?

MinimServer and Linn Streamer will show up under playing now when control point is turned on under tools->options->Media Network -> Advanced->DLNA Controller.
Provided your Linn is DLNA complaint, which I would assume it is.

That is very helpful - all working. Many thanks.
