Title: NAS and JRiver MC 23 (Windows 10)
Post by: Valerio49 on October 24, 2017, 04:47:07 am
I'm going to buy a NAS to store my hi-res music files. Though it's not clear to me if I can continue using JRiver MC 23 on my Windows PC 10 by importing files stored on the NAS in their original format (e.g. flac up to 352,8 kHz). Playback quality is affected?

I have a windows 10 PC running MC23 connected via LAN to a Synology NAS. My music data (AIF Redbook/Hires & DSD) is stored on this NAS. All works fine and plays in it's original format (no quality loss).

Why not add a big drive to an existing computer.  A NAS is just another computer.
