Title: How do I get the MC23 start icon/shortcut on my desktop?

Usually I have the MC23 start icon/shortcut on my desktop. Somehow it disappeared.

I have the MC23 shortcut in the Win10 "Start" menu (and I can add to Taskbar) but I want it on the desktop. I tried copy/paste and dragging it but that's not working. What's the trick?

find it in programs and make a copy and move that to your desktop

don't copy the application to your desktop.  Find it in 'Program Files (x86)/J River/ Media Center 23'   (or similar - may not be in x86 if you have installed the 64 bit version), and right click on the application and choose create shortcut.  The new shortcut should be added to your desktop.
