Title: Does MCWS Control/CommandLine allow the execution of arbitrary code?
Post by: mattkhan on October 29, 2017, 04:05:28 pm
question as per subject, by "arbitrary code" I mean "any old exe that lives on the box"

I'm referring to this parameter

Target: The target for the command line (uses launcher when empty) (default: )

If it does any execution of any exe, what format does this argument take? I tried a c:\foo\bar.exe (assume this exists) with appropriate encoding and received a failure result.

No, you can only pass arbitrary command lines to the MC23.exe launcher this way. The "Target" parameter is only provided to offer the flexibility of adding more future targets.
