Title: How to remove embedded cover art in audio file tag
Post by: Mike Foran on November 01, 2017, 08:19:07 am
I'd like to clear some space on my media drive by removing all the redundant embedded cover art metadata and go exclusively to referencing art in the cover art folder. I can't seem to find a way to strip out the embedded artwork.

You can right-click the files and pick Cover Art > Remove Cover Art.

My 2p on this is that you're just delaying the inevitable reorganising your media files/buying a larger/another drive.

It's very quick and easy to remove the cover art to gain a very small amount of space but just think where you are going to be in a few month's time. . . Might be worth dealing with  the 'future' now and leaving the cover art in place.

YMMV of course  :)

Oh good lord  ::). Sometimes the answer is just staring me right in the face and I can't see it. Thanks Matt.

True indeed, but I'm also getting weird conflict issues with different art stored in files form the same album. Just trying to streamline things a bit. I'm going to test out on a few albums and make sure this is worth the time and effort first though.
