My last version that imported music without any issue was MC17. It was clean and easy. I have updated to MC23 and really it's been pain. Gone are the simple one click method of importing to a series of multiple items you have to do before you import. I can't drag and drop, there is no such thing as a one button to import, and everything has gotten complicated.
Maybe it's my new computer (windows 10) or maybe it's so simple that it's going over my head.
I went to WIKI and looked up import and it said that I could drag and drop, which I can't. More than likely it has to be me, but I really can't figure out what I need to do so I'm asking for help in this.
What I did was to rip a cd, drop it in the playing now, right click, and I get a list of commands that really have nothing to do with importing like it did with MC17.

If you were importing from Explorer, try turning on "Shell integration" in Tools > Options > General and then reboot.

If you rip with MC, there is nothing to do. It gets imported automatically.
Auto import options are available under Tools > Import.

I tried that and it didn't work. I clicked on it but nothing happened.

I just did that. BTW, what does shell integration do?

It integrates JRiver into the right click menu of Windows Explorer.

Thanks for the reply. You have to be a computer wiz just to understand some of the functions of MC. Should have a KISS version of MC for guys like me.

there is no such thing as a one button to import,
Check out the customisation video in my footer. You can customise the toolbar and add a button for 'run auto import now'. That's a one button import solution.
