Title: multiple library issue
Post by: cfrab on November 04, 2017, 07:13:18 am
Hello
I’ve recently upgraded to MC23. I still find the same problem that was present in the old release when starting playback just after switching between different libraries : if I load a new library and start to play an album or a playlist, the playback stops always after the first song.
The only way to avoid the playback stop is to restart MC (and Media Server);  after restart the playlist works fine with no interruption.
Same happens when I go back to the previous library
For info, I stream MC23 (Win10)  through DLNA  to a Marantz sr7005 receiver (wifi connection)
Any solution?
Thank you

why do you have 2 libraries?
I have a local lib on the same laptop where I have MC installed, and a second one on an external NAS.
I have to restart MC (+Media Server) each time I switch between them,  because the playback from an album of the new lib always stops after first song.

Still not sure why 2 libraries.  Why not consolidate to 1?

Make the NAS and the Local Folder watched folder in the import config and let the whole thing merge

You can set out as many views as you like to "Simulate" the 2 libraries
