Title: Option to stop saving folder.jpg to the folder?
Post by: mikolajek on November 10, 2017, 11:46:39 am
MC used to ask me if I want to save the just-added cover into the folder where the respective file(s) was stored. I was always saying NO and finally I've checked the option "Don't ask again" before I clicked No. I believed that this will secure no future questions AND no saving of the folder.jpg into the files folder. However it's not like that - the question is not asked by the file is saved. I can't find any option to uncheck this preference. Is that possible?

It's possible this would help:
Options > General > Advanced > Reset all confirmation messages...

It did the job, thank you!

Is there an option to permanently disable saving folder.jpg? I prefer to control it myself...

There's no option to disable it entirely, but there are additional options in: Options > File Location > Cover Art > Audio Mode
You can set it to save:
The default should be "specified folder" which is a local cache that Media Center keeps in "%APPDATA%\J River\Media Center 23\Cover Art\"
