Title: Green screen on encrypted channels
Post by: dwvaughn on November 13, 2017, 08:00:03 pm
So I have a Ceton InfiniTv 6 and I finally got my DTA stuff figured out however now when I try to tune an encrypted channel I get nothing but a green screen.  I have tuned the same channel in WMC and everything works fine.

Sorry, encrypted cable channels are currently not supported in MC.

When you say "encrypted", doesn't that just mean - requires cable card authorization (not clear QAM)?
Or are you talking about copy once channels like HBO, SHO, etc?

MC does support cable card channels, but NOT copy once channels like HBO, SHO, etc.

No not HBO, etc.  Sorry about the confusion.  I am currently on TWC/Spectrum and I was trying channels like BBC America and SyFy.

However I did just check the Ceton diagnostics page and for both channels it showed the following: "Copy Control Information: "One Copy" (0x02)"

Contact TWC/Spectrum. They have incorrectly flagged the channels.

I'll try. That should be like a root canal. 😀
