Title: Using an external HD with JRiver/Mac
Post by: okvaal on November 24, 2017, 04:25:50 am
MC is now successfully installed on a Mac, and all files copied from my PC.
So now is the time to think about security. I just bought a WD 1 TB hard disk, and have a few questions.
As far as I remember, setting MC to automatically copy Library is rather simple. Is it a good idea to set it to copy the Library to the EHD (if possible)? Second, is there also a way to set MC to automatically copy newly added files to the EHD backup? (Meaning Music files/songs.)

I assume you've everything you want to keep safe on your Macs internal disk and your external drive has more capacity than the internal one of your new Mac. So I'd suggest instead of seeking a MC only solution you may be better of getting familiar with and making use of Time Machine (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250 or https://support.apple.com/no-no/HT201250).

Thanks a lot. I'm looking into it (Time Machine) right now!  :)
