For example, I have 53 albums from Miles Davis and I want to see them next to each other in order of release date in my albumview, now I see Miles Davis's albums as one and when I put my mouse on it I see my albums appear one by one

Artist > Sort by >custom>year

I did "Year" because I've tagged all my albums in "Year" as year of release

Kind of "artist - year" so you get artist on alphabet and per artist in year of recording

well, just sort by "artist - year"

i don't know what kind of view you are using so it's hard to be more specific, but you can quite easily sort on this

Thanks Ferday but I have try this and when I select artist - year, than all the album covers of one artist appears as an albumcover with the rest of the albums behind it these only appear after double clicking

how I want it to appear is that all album covers are simply placed next to each other as covers, just like the rest

my album vieuw is standard and use NOIR skin

I do it the other way round

1953 - Album Name

By using an Expression [Date] - [Album] !it then sorts in date order. It means keeping Date as the release date. There are several other Date fields you can use

My view is just a Album thumbnail panes view with sorting like this
Code: [Select]
~sort=[Album Artist (auto)],[Date],[Album],[Disc #],[Track #]
Thumbnail text is also modified:
Code: [Select]
<b>
<font color="55aaff">[Album Artist (auto)]<//font>
<font color="9933Mid(0123456789ABCDEF, Math(([Year] -1932) / 5), 1)F"><i>[Album]<//i> /([Year]/)<//font>
<font color="#f69838">Mid(★★★★★, 0, Left([AMG Rating],1))If(IsEqual(Right([AMG Rating], 2), /,5), ½, )<//font>
<//b>

Thanks, but I can't find where to edit the thumbnail text, sorting I did in "make rules"in cusomize view
But I have reached my goal :) Thanks a lot

You're Welcome. Thumbnail texts can be edited if you put mouse pointer above header/tab of your view. Thumbnails ->> thumbnail text
