Title: Tidal Master files unlistenable with JRiver WDM
Post by: winterwolf on December 06, 2017, 12:08:09 am
Sorry for starting a new thread but the original Tidal MQA thread about BSOD and exclusive mode not working fully has been resolved but one very annoying issue remains

Windows 10 Creator Update (fresh install), JRiver 64bit, WDM driver and Tidal Masters with MQA (exclusive mode, force volume):

- The sound is unlistenable. It is scratchy and raspy . It sounds like a radio with very bad reception.

I tried changing buffer values (no difference).

Any ideas would be highly appreciated, since I am very happy that JRiver correctly identifies the right input frequency of the song provided by Tidal Masters (from 44.1KHz to 96 kHz).

It is just impossible to listen to it  :'(

Thx for any advice.

We may take a look at this if we have time.  For now, you will need to find another way to listen to Tidal.
