I’m having trouble with installing the MiniLyrics plugin for JRiver Media Center 23.

As far as I can tell, MiniLyrics hasn't been updated for awhile and lacks support for Media Center 23.

You might want to contact the MiniLyrics developer(s) and inform/ask them about Media Center 23 (along with Media Center 23 64-bit for Windows) support and see if there's any updates coming.

I contacted them last night, and have not heard from them yet.

Because MiniLyrics isn't compatible and lacks support for Media Center 23. It likely lacks support for the 64-bit version of Media Center 23 too (assuming it uses paths for "detection", I don't use MiniLyrics so I can't check). Don't think there's any real viable solution (and I don't consider renaming executables as one), honestly. Just gotta wait and see if the MiniLyrics developers update their app.

Whenever I try to choose the right folder, I get this message saying can’t detect the player installed in the specified folder.

Yeah, because it doesn't support Media Center 23.

I never used minilyrics but I have very good luck with MediaHuman Lyrics Finder https://www.mediahuman.com/lyrics-finder/

It's quick and easy to use, just drag and drop from MC and it does it's thing and then in MC update tags from file and you're good to go.

Thanks for this. Tried it last night and it worked perfectly. Easy to use and now I can see lyrics in Theater View and on JRemote.

Thanks, but it's for a Mac, which I do not have.
