Title: JRiver playback device missing in Windows 10
Post by: enagy57 on December 19, 2017, 10:28:45 am
I have installed JRiver and I am unable to see it as a playback device.  I had this problem before and there was an option in JRiver somewhere that I had to enable but I cannot find that setting.  Does anyone know what I need to do?

Thank you

Tools > Options and then type "driver" in the search bar

Thank you! That worked.

Actually this didn't work as I expected.  Previously when JRiver was displayed as a playback device I could see the volume bar reacting to the music being played.  Now, although it appears as a playback device it does not seem to be aware of the audio being played.  Maybe I didn't fully explain my situation.  I have installed the McIntosh driver for their headphone amplifier, this driver supplies the ASIO driver for JRiver.  When I had this installed and configured previously I could disable McIntosh as a playback device and the audio stream would continue through the JRiver device.  Now is seems that the JRiver playback device is not responsive even though when I have JRiver MC open it does control the music being played.
