Hi,
I have an active 3-way stereosystem with the following physical channel order output from my DAC. (ASIO signal fed to the DAC)
1: Left Bass
2: Left Midrange
3: Left Tweeter
4: Right Bass
5: Right Midrange
6: Right Tweeter
I'm trying to use the cross-over (parametric equalizer) functionality in JRiver with the following channel order:
(as this is the order that I have found in the literature). I have applied the approppriate filters as shown in the parenthesis)
1: LF (low-pass)
2: RF (low pass an high pass)
3: C (high pass)
4: LFE (low pass)
5: LS (low pass and high pass)
6: RS (high pass)
However, things turn out completely wrong. Apparently everything is fine though. I.e. every driver receives the correct frequency band.
The problem is:
Left channel material activates every channel except channel 2.
Right channel material activates every channel except channel 1.
In the Output format I use:
5.1 channels with JRSS mixing and "send all frequencies to subwofer"
I have tried a multidude of different setting and combinations. No luck so far. Can someone please help me to get this right?
Best Regards,
Jarle Bergene

this is a stereo system with no subs right? if so then you will need to use 2 channel in a 5.1 container, this will tell jriver to mix any content to 2 channels (which will appear in channels 1 and 2), you can then move channel 2 to channel 4 (R to SW) and copy 1 to 2 & 3 (L to R and C) and copy 4 to 5 & 6 (SW to SL & SR). You cna then apply high/low pass filters as appropriate.

Thanks a lot!!
But how do I move and copy the channels? any script required?

this is in the PEQ section too, choose the mix channels option and you will find copy/move operations.
