Is there any way to set how frequently MC runs it's auto-import?
Thanks!
-
No. well unless one of the gurus have a script. but you can run it anytime you want!
do you have Update for external changes checked? this works well for me. and you can put a shortcut to run a manual update right on the interface.

Where is the "Update for external changes" checkbox?
It is probably checked but I started digging and then figured I'd ask...
Thanks!
-
tools>options>libary and folders>click on configure auto import
-
Thanks, it was checked... but adding the auto-import button to the interface is also a cool way to go...
Cheers!

...and you can put a shortcut to run a manual update right on the interface.
Please do tell. You mean standard view or theaterview?
What if you are at a Client and you want to run Auto Import on the Server? (without going to the server)
-
standard view (who wants to tag from theatre view? anyways)
right click on the upper toolbar where File, Edit, etc and customise toolbar. you can add all sorts of stuff.
-
Note that auto import is typically *not* a timed action, but runs on demand based on notifications about changes to the files from your operating system. As such there isn't exactly a time to configure in the majority of cases.
There are exceptions where a timer is used, if for some reason those file system watches cannot be setup, but since that's a rather special and typically uncommon case, it's not currently configurable.

Please do tell. You mean standard view or theaterview? standard view...is just a right click upper top left and choose customize. I don't use theaterview so I don't know about that...
What if you are at a Client and you want to run Auto Import on the Server? (without going to the server) I don't think that is possible but I'm no guru
