Title: TWO PC based DLNA Renderers - One has stuttering video
Post by: Manfred on January 05, 2018, 08:42:54 am
I have:
1. DLNA Server -> Switch->MC->HTPC->TV (Testing Purpose only -  my Devialet is in Paris) | All 1 GBit Ethernet connected
2. DLNA Server -> Switch->WLAN Repeater->Router->MC PC->LG UW Monitor (weaker CPU than HTPC)

2. works perfectly if playing a FHD video from the DLNA server to the MC PC (140 Mbit/s over the Network; 15% CPU utilization; 33% GPU GTX1070)

1. stuttering (~900 Mbit/s over the network?; 50% CPU utilization; extensive write to ssd 100% ?; 30% GPU Utilization)

For 1. :Why does MC write so extensively to disk? Why such a high network utilization?

I think not - but I have not been using DLNA in the past.

The problem only occurs, if I push the video from the server to the client. If I use the client to control the server playing the video, everything is fine.
