Hi
My daughter came home from scool today with a bly-ray that she had lent from a friend.
It’s not that often I buy or borrow blu-rays, so I soon figured out that JRiver does bot support playback of encrypted blu-ray disc.
It suggested to install AnyDVD HD or simular program.
AnyDVDHD cost like 59 Euro for a one year rental licens.
Over 100 euro for a lifetime license (last lifetime was quite short...).
After some searching I found a free blu-ray player that I installed (leawo)
Seems to work just fine.
Isn’t it time that JRiver includes the option to play encrypted dvd’s as well?

A company in China can get away with violating the rules just so much more easily. I don't think anyone wants JRiver to vanish for breaking Blu-ray encryption and getting sued in the process. :)

you can convert the BD to an mkv file type which also removes the encryption during the conversion. Then MC will play the "mkv" file.
The program is free https://www.makemkv.com
