When I try to use Task Scheduler for Engen it gives me an information window that I don't have an Engen Server running. This seems very odd because I can login on port 52125 from another computer on the network and get Engen. Also can login on 52199 and Get Panel. From Panel I can also get to Engen.
I have Media Network checked, but not Authentication.
Task Scheduler for Engen had previously worked with the new SD card.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Rod

Is the Z-stick on the computer where you're running the scheduler?

Yes it is Jim. It's on the IdPi.
-
I just checked Z-Stick Health and everything reports '0'. No Response, no Nothing. I will try to pair it again.
-
The only device I have (besides the Z Stick) is an Outlet. From Engen I can manually toggle it on and off. Thus it would seem that both the Z Stick and Outlet are okay.

Is the address of the Engen server in Scheduler correct? If you Open the Scheduler dialog box and select Add Task, and select Engen Command, there will be a dialog box for the server address. Make sure the port is also included, so it would probably be like: http://localhost:52125

Thanks for responding Brad. That's exactly what is in the dialog box. Please see attached screen shot.

It sounds like there are some bugs with Scheduler in the most current version of Media Center for the IdPi. Do you have a more current Windows version of Media Center 23? If so, try using the Scheduler on that version of Media Center to see if it works. If it does work, you should just need to wait for the next IdPi update.

Hi Brad,
I assume you mean current version of MC on another computer than the IdPi. My desktop PC has 23.94 running. It does not have Engen so I can't test it with Engen on the current version on my PC.
When I try to use Scheduler on my PC it responds that I need to have an Engen Server running on our network or Internet so same issue as on the IdPi. The IdPi is on the same network as my PC.
Thanks for trying to solve this.
Cheers,
Rod

In the Scheduler on your PC, you can give it the Engen server address for the IdPi. Instead of using localhost, change it to the IP address of the IdPi and it will connect to the Engen server on the IdPi.

That works, Brad! So it must be a glitch in the IdPi MC software.
Thanks very much.

Does the Task Scheduler rely on MC running? That is, the schedule is not saved in Engen and relies on MC to be running and trigger events?
-
Yes. At this time that's the case.

Hi Brad,
Is this problem fixed in the new version MC24 on the IdPi?
Thanks,
Rod

Yes, it is fixed in 24. Which version of Media Center is your IdPi currently running?

Hi Brad,
MC 23.0.82 and IdPi 22.0.79
Thanks,
